Tornado briefly touches down in Matagorda County

NEAR BLESSING, Texas (KTRK) -- A weak tornado briefly touched down Sunday afternoon in Matagorda County.

The spinup was caught on video by ABC13 viewer Kristy Averitt.

In the video, a funnel appears and spins for a few minutes before briefly making contact with the ground near Tidehaven High School along Highway 35.

Two tornado warnings were issued for the Brazoria County area Sunday.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
