Child struck by lightning in Dayton

MONT BELVIEU, Texas -- A child was struck by lightning in Liberty County during Sunday's severe weather, officials confirm to ABC13.

The Liberty County Sheriff's Office said the 11-year-old female was struck by lightning at on FM 1409 in Dayton around 12:45 p.m.

Officials told ABC13 the child was playing near a water well when she was struck. She is in good condition.
