HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The next big storm will track into Houston today with widespread showers and a few strong thunderstorms.
Meteorologist Travis Herzog says most of the severe storms will develop north and east of Houston into Louisiana later this afternoon. Westerly winds later today will clear out the sky in Houston and spike the temperature to 80 degrees as the humidity drops.
A few more showers are possible late Tuesday as a strong cold front blows in. The sky will clear again Wednesday with much cooler temperatures.
Moisture returns next weekend with more clouds and periods of rain. Temperatures could stay in the 50s all day Saturday and Sunday with the widespread clouds and showers.
