INDIAN TRAIL, NC -- Authorities in North Carolina have arrested a man they say used a stun gun on a Walmart greeter who asked to see his receipt.

Local media outlets report 42-year-old John Davis Jr. was arrested Tuesday on charges of common law robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

Surveillance photos show Davis and a woman walking out of an Indian Trail Walmart with a 50-inch television Sunday afternoon. Union County deputies say a 65-year-old greeter saw a security sticker and asked to see a receipt.

Authorities say Davis shocked the employee, then he and the woman ran to the parking lot and drove away.

The employee didn't need to be hospitalized. Authorities are still looking for the woman who was with Davis, and it wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
