Two teens accused of vandalizing homes under construction were arrested after they allegedly sent video of the incident to Snapchat users

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- Two teens have been arrested after allegedly sharing a video on social media of themselves vandalizing homes under construction.

League City police say an officer discovered the 14-year-old and 15-year-old boys inside a home on Westwood Drive just after 1pm Sunday. Investigators say clues in a video the vandals had posted on Snapchat led police to the location of the damage. League City Police Officer Reagan Pena says someone saw the video, was able to save it, and turned it over to police.

Inside the homes, detectives say, they discovered broken windows and significant damage to drywall, which had only recently been installed. The properties are being built by Brighton Homes, which police say estimated the value of the damage at well over $2,000. As a result the teens are charged with felony criminal mischief.

Brighton Homes refused to comment on this story.
