Mugshot released for suspected UPS shooter
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The man suspected of opening fire outside a UPS processing center in southeast Houston allegedly just wanted to be paid. The suspect, Levoda Jackson, did not appear in court on Wednesday morning. However, prosecutors read all of the charges against him.
According to prosecutors, Jackson demanded his pay before he fired his weapon several times at the UPS facility in the 7100 block of Mykawa. Witnesses say they heard him yell, "pay me my money."
Houston Police Department spokesperson, Victor Senties said Sgt. J Holcomb and Sgt A. Gonzaeles opened fire shortly after arriving to the center's parking lot.
Detectives told abc13 Jackson fired a shotgun when approached by officers. The sergeants returned fire. Police said Jackson surrendered and was taken into custody.
