MIAMI, FL -- Another tropical storm has formed in the Atlantic but poses no current threat to land.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Henri was centered Wednesday night about 250 miles (405 kms) southeast of Bermuda. Henri has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph (65 kph) and is moving north at 5 mph (7 kph).
No coastal watches or warnings are in effect.
In the Pacific, the former Hurricane Linda had weakened to a tropical storm by Thursday night, with maximum sustained winds dropping to 65 mph (100 kph). Linda is moving northwest at 9 mph (15 kph). No coastal watches or warnings are in effect.
