Video captures new car being smashed by Sunrail train in Florida

MAITLAND, FL (KTRK) -- Surveillance video has been released from a train that collided with a car that had stalled on the tracks.

It happened Monday in Maitland, Florida, as the Sunrail train was approaching the station. The driver of the car had just purchased the vehicle and said as she was trying to shift gears, it stalled.

The train's engineer tried to stop in time, but couldn't, hitting the vehicle at around 35 miles per hour.

The car's driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries from flying debris.
