Toddler found wandering along Highway 288 in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police officers found a toddler on the northbound lanes of Hwy 288 at Reed Road just before 12:30 p.m. Friday.

An officer told Eyewitness News that it appeared that the child walked away from a daycare in the area.

According to a parent at the Littlest Ones School, the children were outside for recess. A headcount was done, but the 3-year-old boy was missing.

No other details have been released.
