Thief caught on camera stealing luxury purses in Rice Village

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Surveillance video shows a man stealing luxury purses from The Gaspy Collection in Rice Village.

In the video, the suspect runs into the store three times, grabbing more than thirty leather purses.

The heist took less than five minutes and the thief got away with at least $5,000 worth of merchandise.

"I didn't think someone would be so brave just to openly break-in and steal what he did," said employee Alex Smith. "It's unnerving because any of these businesses could be broken into just like this one."
