Police identify suspect in violent shooting in Deer Park

DEER PARK, TX (KTRK) -- Police say a possible gang member is wanted in a violent shooting in Deer Park.

The Deer Park Police Department says Starsky Lee Valdez, 37, was involved in a domestic disturbance yesterday in the 7200 block of Spencer Highway.

At one point, officers say Valdez pulled out a gun and shot his male victim five times.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he is on life support.

Valdez allegedly fled the scene in a white 1994 Ford F-150, with Texas license plate AD4-8598.

Valdez may be a member of the Tango Blast gang, according to police, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
