Texian Festival attendees learn about 19th century living

MONTGOMERY, TX -- The Texian Heritage Festival brought out the big guns and loud cannons at the fifth annual event at Fernland Historical Park in Montgomery Saturday.

The Texian Heritage Festival depicts the 1800-era with shoot-outs, cannons, re-enactments, demonstrators, Indian dancers, and various vendors selling homemade goods and Fernland Historical Park is home to four cabins dated from the 1820's to 1860's.

Chicawa Aztec Dancers performed for the crowd and James Drury of "The Virginian" TV series signed autographs.
