A Houston DoorDash driver is speaking out for the first time since security video captured the moment she was struck by a car during a police chase and then, still in shock, delivered the food anyway.
One victim's wife followed her gut, and when she realized her husband was in danger, she outsmarted the suspect, leading to his arrest.
"He didn't stand a chance," the neighbor told ABC13, referring to home surveillance video of the alleged trap on the 20-year-old victim.
According to Feeding America, 40% of food is wasted in the United States and restaurants are said to be a problem. ABC13 spoke with Executive Chef Shawney Severns on how the program "Nourish" can aid those needing meals.
"My deputies always follow through," Sheriff Ron Hain said.
Houston police said the video shows the men pointing guns at the delivery duo, forcing them out of their car.
