SWAT scene in SE Houston ends with murder-suicide

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities say a SWAT scene in southeast Houston ended as a murder-suicide.

The scene unfolded around 2:30pm at a home in the 1500 block of Fellows.

Investigators say the woman had rented a U-Haul and came to the home with the intention of moving out of the house she shared with her boyfriend. That caused an argument. Relatives ran out of the home just as the boyfriend was threatening her. Shortly thereafter gunshots rang out.

Relatives then called police. When police arrived they were not certain whether the man or the woman were still alive. A SWAT scene ensued, and about three hours later, police went inside and discovered the woman's body. They found the man's body in another room.

A number of family members who heard the news had gathered along the police barricade at Fellows. Tears flowed as soon as it was confirmed both the woman and her boyfriend were dead.
