HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A driver in Houston is recovering after police say his car slammed into a utility pole and snapped it in half.
Witnesses told police that the driver was speeding and went airborne along Airline near Little York in north Houston.
Authorities told ABC13 that it took firefighters an hour to cut the driver out.
Fortunately, the driver was not seriously injured, but officials did smell alcohol on him. He is now being investigated for possible DWI.
