
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Deputies say a man who died after running a stop sign and hitting a tree in east Harris County may have suffered a medical issue.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the man was driving a Honda Pilot in the 13000 block of Forestwood Drive at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Deputies said the man ran a stop sign at the intersection of Forestwood Drive and Woodforest Boulevard, hit a curb, and drove into the grassy area of the City Crossing Apartments on Woodforest Boulevard.
The man drove into a metal fence and then hit a tree before the vehicle stopped.
Authorities said the man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead due to a possible medical issue.
The investigation is ongoing, deputies said.
