Lufkin baseball team advances to 3rd game in Little League World Series

The Lufkin Little League Baseball team won 6-3 against the New England Regional Champions from Fairfield, Conn., at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

They'll play next on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN. They will play the winner of the California vs North Carolina.

On Thursday, the team defeated Great Lakes 5-1 during opening night.

Lufkin and the rest of the teams will get to attend the Little League Classic between the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals at 6 tonight at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.

Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant showed his support for the hometown team.
