Bob McNair, owner of Houston Texans, passes away at 81

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston Texans owner Bob McNair has died, the team announced on Friday.

The 81-year-old McNair was awarded an NFL team in 1999, which eventually became the league's 32nd franchise.

According to the team, McNair passed away peacefully in his Houston home Friday surrounded by his wife, Janice, and family by his side.
