Dynamo's DaMarcus Beasley to miss 4 to 6 weeks after knee surgery

Houston Dynamo defender DaMarcus Beasley underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Wednesday, the team announced.



The 36-year-old Beasley is expected to miss four to six weeks.



Beasley revealed in an Instagram post that the surgery was performed in Los Angeles.



Beasley is in his sixth season with the Dynamo and has three goals and four assists in 112 matches.



Overall, Beasley has 17 goals and 24 assists in 210 MLS matches (198 starts) in 11 seasons. He played for the Chicago Fire from 2000-04.



Beasley has played in four World Cups (2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014) for the U.S. national team. He earned 126 caps and had 17 goals and 13 assists.
