HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Deshaun Watson traded his Texans jersey before and after the game for a Houston Oilers Warren Moon jersey.

Moon sent the jersey to Watson after they built a relationship since meeting last summer.

"It's all love and respect for Warren Moon," Watson said. "Had a privilege to meet him this summer at The Cam Newton Foundation...We've been communicating throughout camp and throughout the season."

Moon tweeted in support of Watson before the 33-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Watson threw three more touchdowns on Sunday, and now has 15 passing touchdowns on the season. He holds the record for most passing touchdowns by a rookie through six games since the NFL-AFL merger.

Moon retired before Watson turned 5 years old, but the rookie said even though he never watched Moon play, he knows his importance to the city of Houston.

"I've seen highlights, but I just know that he's a big part of this city and this organization whenever the Houston Oilers were here, and just how the fan base is still in love with him," Watson said. "What he's done for this city and this organization was huge, and I'm trying to do that -- do the same things for the Houston Texans and continue to have success and build on it."
