Alvin police cracking down on drivers speeding past school buses

ALVIN, Texas (KTRK) -- Parents in Alvin saw justice served Tuesday morning after Alvin Police Department caught several drivers speeding by stopped school buses.

Parents said they started complaining to police last week after several drivers got away with not stopping when the school bus stop sign was out.

Officers took action and watched the bus stop Tuesday morning.

Alvin PD said they stopped and ticketed several drivers who violated the law.
