LOS ANGELES, CA -- Three elementary school-aged children were found dead in a car near a school in South Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Investigators on scene told Eyewitness News that the minors suffered wounds consistent with a stabbing, but an official cause of death was not confirmed.
A man also suffered stab wounds and was listed in critical condition. His relationship to the children was not immediately known.
Police received a report of an assault with a deadly weapon around 7:15 a.m. from the 300 block of East 32nd Street, near Dolores Huerta Elementary School.
When police arrived, they found two victims dead. Shortly afterward, police told Eyewitness News that a third victim had also died. Investigators said all of the victims were found in a car.
The victims' identities have not been released.
