HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man had to be flown to a hospital after being shot by a Harris County sheriff's deputy Friday.
It happened in a wooded area near Cullen and Almeda Genoa in southeast Harris County. The sheriff's office says deputies were trying to arrest the man who is wanted on several charges, including felonies, but he took off running.
They say, at some point, a deputy fired shots, hitting the suspect.
It's unclear if the man was armed.
