Flight makes detour to capture spectacular view of solar eclipse

An Alaska Airlines flight adjusted its flight plan so travelers could catch a glimpse of a solar eclipse.

But this wasn't your average sight from ground; they got to view it from 36,000 feet in the sky.

An astronomer reportedly convinced the airline to delay and adjust one of its flights for the solar event.

One passenger was so generous that they brought specially filtered sunglasses for everyone on board.
