Waitress Tip
A waitress passes a surprise $330 tip forward.

BIRMINGHAM, AL (KTRK) -- Karli Estock has waited tables at the Parish Seafood and Oyster House for four years.

Wednesday night started as another normal night at work. "I had this couple come in...they just ordered a burger to split between the two of them," said Estock to WBMA.

Estock found a surprise after the couple paid their bill. "I was shaking when I opened up my check from them it was incredible," said Estock, "they had left me, it was actually a $330 tip along with a card from Faith Community Fellowship Church." The card reads, "please accept this random act of kindness."

Estock said the card and money gave her inspiration. "Having all that at one time I felt pressed to do something with it instead of keep it for myself."

So she performed random acts of kindness for strangers before heading into work Thursday. "I just paid for a few peoples meals in a drive through. I gave them a certain amount of money and told them to use it until it runs out."

She hopes this inspires more people to do something nice for others. And she's grateful for the couple who inspired her. "Thank you to the people that left me that tip last night, thank you for the inspiration to keep it going."

We reached out to Faith Community Fellowship Church about their random acts of kindness cards. The Senior Pastor said, "It's more than a campaign, this is a way of life for the Faith Community Fellowship. It is our DNA. We love serving God by serving others."
