Grand Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting set for Thursday

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The public is invited to attend the fourth annual Grand Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at Central Park in Market Street in The Woodlands.



Rabbi Mendel Blecher, of Chabad of The Woodlands, will lead the lighting of the 9-foot, eight-branched Menorah.



The lighting is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. and there is no cost to attend.



Children's crafts and entertainment will be featured along with traditional Chanukah food, including fried foods like hot latkes, also known as potato pancakes, and doughnuts. Musical performances of Chanukah songs will immediately follow.
