WACO, TX (KTRK) -- Two Waco lawyers have a musical message this holiday season: don't get arrested because they'll be out of town.
Hutson & Harris are singing lawyers who are known online for teaching people about their Miranda Rights, what not to do when you're involved in a civil or criminal case, and why pot brownies are a bad recipe to whip up in Texas.
For their Christmas medley, they say in their YouTube description, "This one doesn't have a lot of deep legal insights. We wanted to have some fun. Happy Kwanzhanukkahmas."
The video starts off with the duo playing a funny message from a YouTube admirer. They say they don't make any money from the videos, but they do appreciate the feedback and that they'll continue to do them, "until the State Bar of Texas tells us to stop."
Then the medley begins. Their remade carol of "O Christmas Tree" reminds people that "Christmas weed" remains against the law in Texas. Also, they say to the tune of "Deck the Halls" that if you have kush and you get arrested, you should "shush." And then finally, to the tune of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," the lawyers remind people "You can't buy presents if all your money goes to bail" and "If you get caught, your lawyers will be miles away!"
