HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- As the holiday season gets underway, there are several counterfeit items that customs agents are warning about.
According to agents, fake DVDs and Nintendo's are some of the hottest counterfeit items being smuggled into the United States. The flimsy power cords on fake electronics are dangerous because the cords could easily catch fire.
Agents also revealed that Viagra is another big counterfeit item and knockoff perfumes and colognes.
Authorities recommend to purchase items from an authorized retailer and keep an eye on the price. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
