'10 Cent Day' at thrift store in Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Are you pinching pennies or just love to bargain hunt?

Here, every fifth day is a "ten cent day!"

That means every item is just a dime.

Shoppers tell us to expect long lines and some less than quality items, but they also tell us buried in-between some of the less desirable pieces, you can find really great treasures.

Barbara Wilson frequently shops there to donate to The Star of Hope.

She says some of the items she has picked up are name brand clothing like Izod, Chaps and other department store brands.

Barbara Levi says even though it is work to dig through the rummage, she says it's worth it to find bag loads of clothing.

Some of the clothes she keeps and other items she re-sells.

Experienced shoppers tell us to be prepared to fight through some crowds and items not neatly organized. In addition, there are no dressing rooms.
