HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities need the public's help in identifying a man who violently attacked and sexually assaulted a woman in north Harris County.
On August 11, at about 9:30am, the 49-year-old victim was walking near the North Freeway and Century Plaza Drive when a man driving a newer model silver Ford Mustang offered her a ride. The victim declined, but a short distance later, the man got out of car, chased the woman, and dragged her into a grassy field.
The victim tried to fight off her attacker, but the man slammed her body on the ground several times before dragging her deeper into the field.
The man sexually assaulted the victim and threatened to kill her before fleeing the scene.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the suspect is described as a Hispanic male, with some Asian features, in his late 20's to early 30's, approximately 5'7" tall, with an average build.
