2 students taken to the hospital after gate slams Aldine ISD school bus

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- Two children have been taken to the hospital after their bus was struck by a gate in the Spring area.

The incident happened at Rayford Intermediate School in Aldine ISD.

School officials say a strong wind blew the gate open, causing it to slam into the school bus as it was pulling into the school.

Eleven students were checked out at the scene. Two of those students were transported to Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital as a precaution because they complained of discomfort.

Parents have been notified about the incident.
