Pope Francis draws thousands of people to Washington streets
Many people waited as long as 12 hours just to get a glimpse of Pope Francis during his trip to Washington D.C.

Houstonian Virginia Reynolds went to Mass with Pope Francis in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, and she volunteered at the canonization of the newest saint, the pope final event of the day.

"Definitely made my year, it was really cool. I don't know the next time or if I'll ever be so close or involved in a papal Mass ever again, this is something to talk about for years to come," she said.

Thousands of others will also be talking about the day they too saw the pope, if only a glimpse from a distance.

"Even the quick glimpse, it's a thrill," said Sister Donna Pollard with the St. Pius School in Houston.

These four Houstonians got that glimpse along the papal parade route with tens of thousands.

"Everyone went crazy when he went driving down imagine what it was for Jesus it must have been so much more," said Bart Bramanti with St. Pius School in Houston.

Some waited 12 hours for that magic moment.
