AUSTIN, TX -- A Central Texas man has been accused of beating his year-old daughter and yanking out one of her teeth over potty training failures.

Travis County jail records show 27-year-old Bryan Davis of Austin was being Wednesday on a charge of felony injury to a child.

Bond was set at $500,000 for Davis. He was arrested Tuesday after doctors on July 9 treated his 20-month-old daughter for serious injuries including 16 rib fractures. Austin police say the girl apparently went to the bathroom on the living room floor.

Davis told police that the girl had a seizure while using an inhaler, and he pulled one of her front tooth while removing the device.

Jail records don't list an attorney to speak for Davis. Further details on the girl weren't immediately available.
