HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Investigators have confirmed two brothers were arrested in connection with the death of a teenage girl on Valentine's Day at a house party in February, according to court records.
Officials said 19-year-old Enrique and 18-year-old Romeo Aguilar were arrested Tuesday by the Harris County Sheriff's Office's District 1 Crime Reduction Unit and the Violent Criminals Apprehension Team.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said in a release on Thursday that they have taken the case over from the Houston Police Department after it was determined that the shooting did not happen on Dagg Road as previously reported, but happened in unincorporated Harris County.
HCSO said witnesses initally told them the shooting happened on Dagg Road.

Detectives said they were notified around 7 a.m. of a party near Millroy Lane attended by nearly 300 people. It remains unclear what led up to the shooting, but officials said 17-year-old Mariah Alatorre had been taken to the emergency room before being transferred to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, where she was pronounced dead.
It was determined that Alatorre had been shot several times in her arm and in her stomach, officials said.
During the two-month investigation, officials determined that Enrique and Romeo were involved. They were both taken into custody, where Enrique was charged with murder.
Officials said Romero had been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
