CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- A night out for a group of teens ended tragically. One of them was killed in a single-vehicle car crash.
It happened on the North Freeway in the Conroe area late Sunday night. The teens had just left Johnny B. Daltons Dance Hall on North Frazier near the North Loop after attending a Sunday Teen Night in which the club is open to only teens between 13 and 19-years-old.
Police say the teens left the club in a Ford F-150 pickup tuck driven by a 17-year-old female. The driver lost control and hit the guardrail on the North Freeway between Gladstell and Loop 336 South causing the truck to flip.
The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. Three other teens, two males and one female, were taken to Conroe Regional Hospital in stable condition. One of those males has since been released.
Conroe Police say speed was a factor in the crash and added alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
