
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- The Texas Education Agency confirmed that a Splendora High School teacher, who was charged in an alleged hoax on campus, is now under investigation.
On Friday, the TEA confirmed that 53-year-old Nicole Truelove is currently under investigation by the agency's educator investigations division. She was charged by law enforcement with tampering with evidence and making a false report.

At around 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, deputies said that Truelove cut herself with a razor, then activated the school's panic alarm, while claiming she had been stabbed by a student.
The Splendora Independent School District said that Truelove was just hired as a social studies teacher this school year.
On Friday, a Montgomery County magistrate also set a $30,000 bond for Truelove.
