LEAGUE CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- League City police say they're investigating multiple hoax bomb threat calls made to businesses in the city.

According to police, officers have responded to at least five calls.

On Monday morning, police said hoax bomb threats were made to a Walmart Supercenter, Neighborhood Walmart, Kroger, Elite Care, and VCA Animal Hospital within the past 48 hours.

These locations were spread out across the city.

"Officers responded to each location, and all threats were determined to be hoaxes. No explosive devices were found," the department said on social media.

Police say they're working to determine if one person is responsible for the calls or if there are multiple suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call the League City Police Department.
