Suspect armed with knife wanted after North Shore grocery store robbed, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities are searching for a man believed to be at the center of an aggravated robbery in west Houston, according to police.

The Houston Police Department said the incident happened on July 6 at about 1:30 p.m. at a grocery store on Federal Road.

Investigators released surveillance images of the man who they say robbed the store at knifepoint.

The suspect allegedly walked into the store and grabbed items without paying, and was approached outside by a security guard, according to police.

Detectives said the suspect then pulled out a knife, threatened to hurt the security guard, and ran away.

Police describe the suspect as a white man who is 40 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, and was last seen wearing a red polo and khaki pants.
