Suspect shot by HPD officers in Highland Village area, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect was wounded after being shot by police officers in the Highland Village area on Monday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

According to HPD, officers responded to a patrol investigation call at 7:20 p.m. in the 4100 block of Westheimer.

Based on preliminary information, the suspect was struck by HPD officers and the suspect's condition is unknown.

At this time, it is unclear what led up to the shooting. There are no reported injuries to any officers.
