HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect is now in custody after intentionally running over a woman in west Houston on Thursday, according to the Houston Police Department.
According to HPD Lt. Larry Crowson said officers responded to the crash along 2400 South Gessner Road at 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, police found a woman dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police that the incident involved a three-person crew in a moving truck assisting a woman in moving out of an apartment. Police said a man and a woman on the moving crew argued and got into a box truck, where the woman fell out. HPD said they suspect that the crash wasn't an accident and that the man intentionally ran over the woman.
Crowson said that the third person involved in the moving crew stayed on the scene.
