The Harris County Sheriff's Office says that a suspect was arrested after being accused of firing shots towards a deputy while responding to a disturbance in west Harris County on Wednesday.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office says that a suspect was arrested after being accused of firing shots towards a deputy while responding to a disturbance in west Harris County on Wednesday.

According to HCSO, deputies responded to a weapons disturbance at 14906 Westpark Drive, where the suspect, armed with a knife, was arguing with his mother and vandalizing her car.

Upon arrival, the sheriff's office says that the suspect fired shots at least twice at a deputy. After the incident, the suspect was quickly apprehended, HCSO said.

No one was injured during the shooting, according to law enforcement.
