HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police said an argument ended in gunfire at a gas station in the Fifth Ward area on Monday night.
At about 7:14 p.m., the Houston Police Department said officers responded to the shooting at the Chevron in the 5400 block of the East Freeway.
HPD Lt. Larry Crowson said that's where the shooter confronted a man whom he said had been staying with him, accusing him of stealing his TV.
"There was an argument over stolen property. The shooting victim is accused of having stolen that property from the shooter," Crowson said.
The man accused of stealing was shot twice at the gas station, according to investigators, and is expected to survive.
Police said the shooter is cooperating with detectives.
It's unclear if charges will be filed.
