Richmond's Lamar Little League punches ticket to LLWS after victory over Louisiana's Eastbank

WACO, Texas (KTRK) -- A team of Little Leaguers from the Houston area will continue chasing their dreams.

Richmond's very own Lamar Little League punched their ticket to the Little League World Series - with a 5-2 win over Louisiana's Eastbank on Tuesday night.

Players and their families met coaches at H-E-B, a sponsor of the team, and boarded vans to head to the airport for their 6 a.m. flight.

The team now heads to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where they'll open World Series play on Aug. 13.
