HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities said a search is underway for a suspect after he reportedly fired a gun on a METRO bus in the Heights area on Monday night.
According to the METRO Police Department, officers responded to an incident at about 7:30 p.m. on Monday involving a bus near the intersection of Studewood and Euclid.
Police said the bus operator advised a man boarding the bus of the fare when the man became "seemingly irate" and moved to the back of the bus. The man then fired a gun on the bus before fleeing the scene, investigators said.
Officials said no one was injured and there was no physical altercation involving the bus operator or the other passengers.
Authorities said MPD officers are leading the investigation and actively searching for the suspect.
