Mini bike rider killed in crash involving pickup truck in Cypress off Highway 290, HCSO says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A person riding a mini bike was struck and killed by a pickup truck in the Cypress area, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies responded to the fatal crash on the Northwest Freeway feeder road near Spring Cypress Road on Tuesday evening.

The mini bike rider was pronounced deceased at the scene, Gonzalez said.

HCSO said only one lane on the feeder road was open while the investigation was underway.
