Man killed in hit-and-run crash, search for driver underway, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- The search for a suspect driver is underway after a man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday morning in Montgomery County, authorities said.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded at about 3:45 a.m. to a report of an unresponsive man lying along the road after being hit by a vehicle near FM 1485 at Willaby Road.
Officials said the man, whose identity was not revealed, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the vehicle involved left the scene after the crash. MCSO said its Traffic Division deputies responded to the scene, along with the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and the Montgomery County Death Investigators Office.

MCSO said the investigation remains ongoing, adding that the roadway and surrounding area were closed as deputies processed the scene.
