
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man who allegedly shot his fiancée twice while she was sleeping on Saturday was taken into custody and charged after the incident, according to court documents.

Records show that Otha Gray Washington was charged with aggravated assault of a family member and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Washington, who's currently sitting in jail, is due in court on Feb. 2, and his bond is set at $200,000, the documents also state.
The Houston Police Department said that the victim was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, adding that she was in stable condition.
