Man arrested for murdering woman who was pregnant with his child, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police say the man accused of murdering the mother of his unborn child has been arrested.

Kevin Faux, 24, was charged last week after remains were discovered in Chimney Rock Park that sources believed to be those of 23-year-old Ashanti Allen.

Allen, who was 8 months pregnant, was last seen on April 8.

According to the Houston Police Department, investigators discovered the woman's body at Chimney Rock Park at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators said they learned that Faux is the father of the victim's unborn child.

Faux was arrested on Monday morning in Louisiana and is currently being held at the Jefferson Paris Correctional Center, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
