POLK COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A church volunteer out of Polk County remains behind bars after he was charged with allegedly sexually assaulting children, according to deputies.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said it received multiple reports from minors and adults that 40-year-old Doyle Hodge II was actively abusing children.

According to the sheriff's office, at least five victims were found as part of the investigation, with several said to be coming forward. An arrest warrant was obtained for Hodge on charges of sexual assault of a child, and he was taken into custody at the Polk County Jail on May 29.

Hodge was said to have volunteered at local churches.

On Wednesday, PCSO said that there were additional charges filed against Doyle, which included criminal solicitation of a Minor and continuous sexual abuse of a child. A second warrant was also issued for indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Hodges' total bond is now totaled at $325,000 following the new charges.

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing and that if you have any additional information or are a victim, contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 936-327-6810.
