Houston police confirm fatality after person reportedly hit by vehicle along Highway 90

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after authorities say a person was hit and killed on Highway 90 on Tuesday morning.

The Houston Police Department confirmed the fatality, saying someone called in to report they had hit someone along the highway at about 5:30 a.m.

SkyEye13 flew over law enforcement working on the mainlanes of Highway 90 near S. Post Oak Road and showed significant damage to the passenger side windshield of a vehicle at the scene.

It's unclear at this time what led to the incident.
